I grew up as a huge fan of Disney, with a mountain tall collection of their VHS tapes and I’ve seen almost all the Disney films you could think of. I was 12 when I did a school project on Walt Disney and that’s when I realised I am going to spend the rest of my life pursing the dream of being a successful filmmaker just like him. Over the years more contemporary filmmakers such as Spielberg, Burton, Chazelle, caught my eye, and definitely played a part in influencing my creative style. However, I owe it to Disney for being the first push that got me draw, write and pick up my camera.
The name Geppetto is a tribute to one of the first ever films that I had seen as a child, Walt Disney’s Pinocchio. Geppetto was the talented toymaker and craftsman that created Pinocchio and cared for him.
